1960s Kitsch Housewife Cookbooks Set Of Two $20One book is titled "Metropolitan Cookbook" dated 1964. The other is titled "Budget Cooking For Company" dated 1965. In the yellow book, the photographs are completely adorable and true to the 1960s era with smiling cartoon food illustrations. A lot of the recipes are modern, though a lot are also not modern household dishes for our day. Some recipes include- Puttin-On-The-Ritz Chocolate Pie, Butterscotch Pecan Pie, Sweet Potato Sausage Loaf, Walnut Cheese Logs, Broiled Swordfish Steaks, Peach Cobbler, and Six Egg Sponge Cake. There are a few great pages on how to make homemade frosting and salad dressings- which completely caught my attention! The green book stands up into a tent-style for easier reading while cooking.
